About Nicholas Costopoulos

Nicholas Costopoulos is a self-taught fine art photographer based in Massachusetts. Born and raised in Boston, he has spent ten years living in and photographing the outer Cape Cod towns of Truro and Provincetown. While on Cape Cod, he attended workshops and honed his photographic skills in documenting the ever-changing landscape of the Cape Cod seashore.

Currently working in his East Boston studio, he continues to practice photography with various interests, such as alternative process printing, portraiture, and figure studies. He has embarked on a new long-term project, Coming Home, Again and Again, examining and documenting his identity as a second-generation Greek American coming to terms with his familial, cultural, societal, religious, intergenerational trauma, and spiritual life. Caregiver is the beginning of this project and his thesis. He holds an MFA in Visual Arts from Lesley University’s College of Art+Design, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
